Mrs. Carl Kiefer

Mrs. Carl Kiefer of the Johnson Apartments died late Friday afternoon following a heart attack in a downtown department store.

The Cleveland – born woman has resided in Painesville the last 48 years. She and her husband had been married 52 years last month.

During Mrs. Kiefer’s residency in Painesville, she has been a member of St. Mary’s Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Thursday Literary Club and the Emblem Club.

Survivors are her husband, Carl: a daughter, Mrs. William B. Blackmore, Cleveland Heights; a son, John C. Kiefer of Galion and four grandchildren, John and Joyce Blackmore and Jacklyn and Carl Michael Kiefer.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Church at 10 am Monday. Friends may call at Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 99 E. Erie St., beginning at 7 tonight and on Sunday.
